The team which is simply known as the Jaguars compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the American Football Conference (AFC) South division. The Jaguars have been in existence for 27 years having been establised in November 1993, but they had to wait for two years to participate in the NFL because they only joined the NFL as an expansion team for the 1995 season.
